The iPhone 7 camera – rumours confirmed

The highly anticipated iPhone 7 has finally made an appearance, but that’s not all Apple have revealed. While the iPhone 7 is aesthetically similar to the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, the smartphone boasts several differences. At Parrot Print, we already suspected the iPhone 7 was going to feature a better camera and we’re thrilled to find we were correct. In addition to this, the other differences include: better power and battery life, a new home button and no headphone jack.

Before we dive into news about the newly improved camera, we thought we’d touch on some other key features of the iPhone 7. Firstly, a little look at the sound. Apple has updated the sound hardware, changing the speakers into stereo speakers. So, there’s no need for Bluetooth speakers or sound systems that plug into your headphone jack because you can now stream your music and listen to it as loud as you like.

Since Apple made the huge decision to remove the headphone jack, the brand has now launched new AirPods. These are wireless headphones that include a mic and have a battery life of five hours. They also come with a charging case that holds 24 hours of charge. The iPhone 7 boasts an extra two hours battery life compared to the iPhone 6, and is water and dust resistant.

Better Camera Means Better Canvas Prints
Not too long ago we announced that there were some exciting new developments in the technology world that allow smartphones to capture SLR quality photos and the iPhone 7 looks on track to be a great photography tool.

The iPhone 7 features a camera with optical image stabilisation and a six element lens that has a f/1.8 aperture. According to Apple, this new camera is 60 per cent faster than previous iPhone cameras. While the iPhone 7 boasts a single lens camera, the iPhone 7 Plus has a more powerful dual lens camera where the two shoot as one, which is great for wide angle and telephoto. These 12mp wide angle and telephoto cameras have a greater optical and digital zoom, and if the cameras weren’t good enough, the iPhone 7 Plus offers a new portrait effect that adds depth of field to your images.

If you’re an avid iPhone snapper, then just imagine how much your images are going to improve with this new smartphone. Whether you’re a novice or professional photographer, when it comes creating striking canvas prints you won’t think twice about reaching for this smartphone over your Canon or Nikon when you're on the move.

Just like the previous smartphones, the iPhone 7 comes in a range of colours such as; gold, silver, rose gold, black and jet black, which is a glossy finish instead of the usual matte. You’ll also find the phone’s storage starts from 32GB to 128GB, with a maximum of 256GB.

Starting at £599, it comes as no surprise that the iPhone 7 is a lavish purchase. If you can’t wait until September 9th to order yours, then you can check out this video on the Telegraph that shows you both phones in action.
