Create a canvas with man’s best friend
Gggggrrrrrreat news - today is National dog day! This canine celebration was founded in 2004 by pet lifestyle expert and author Colleen Paige, and has been celebrated annually on August 26 ever since.
This day was created to encourage dog ownership of all breeds; mixed and pure, and embraces the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe and abuse-free life. The National Dog Day Foundation aims to find homes for all dogs in need of a loving family, in fact the goal is to rescue 10,000 dogs each year.
If you’re a dog lover like us here at Parrot Print Canvas, we thought we’d support this fabulous day with some ideas on how you can create a canvas print with your favourite pup to thank them for their companionship and for always being their when you need them!
Say hello to our new puppy!
Something we’re all guilty of when getting a new pet is filling our camera roll with countless pictures of your new family member, and who can blame you with a cute bundle of fluff running about the place. If you can choose your absolutely favourite, may be one of you’s two cuddled together, or one of your puppy doing something silly, either way this kind of image will make for a great canvas print that’ll not only make you smile every time you see it, but that you can treasure for years to come.
Now and then
A creative way to showcase your dog’s life with you is taking a snap from when they were just a puppy to capturing a photo of them now. Take a look at these heart-melting pictures on Bored Panda, they’ll give you a better idea and some inspiration. Plus, it would be easy to create a collage of these two images on your phone, or if you’re a designing pro, on your laptop.
When out and about
If you want to showoff your dog’s more playful side, then why not capture your dog when you’re out and about. If you’re fast enough why not try and take a picture while he or she is running towards you - this would make a very eye-catching and interesting photo. Or, how about when they’ve found a giant stick and they're carrying it home? You have to admit it looks pretty cute when the stick is three times the size of them! Another great idea is taking images of them splashing around at the beach, especially if you have a high spec digital camera that can capture the small details - it would make for a vibrant canvas.
Top tip - When you’ve taken your photo, whether you’ve used a digital camera or your smartphone, make sure you upload it here and we’ll turn it into a high quality canvas print for you!
